Welcome to Harbinson House!

Harbinson House is a historical house located in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Sacramento. The original home of Josiah Harbinson, an Irish immigrant that came to America in the early 1800’s with his family. He and his brothers made a long and dangerous trip to the Alaskan gold rush and found their fortune. They established businesses and  the Harbinson Ranch. They ran the Tremont Hotel and sold whisky to the last of the Wild West

Harbinson House is a craftsman and is characterized by rich, dark woodwork. The house itself was designed by George C. Sellon , the first state architect of California.

Harbinson House has two very special unique rooms for offer to the public. First , is the very popular Wonderland room ! Fall down the rabbit hole and relax in this Victorian rendition of the classic Alice and Wonderland story. And second is the more romantic room the French Room with its beautiful half tester antique bed with a backdrop of a French love poem on the wall.

Both rooms are equipped with robes and slippers for your comfort. Coffee/tea service and mini fridge. This is a Victorian boarding house experience and therefore it is a shared bathroom but don’t worry it has everything you need to be comfortable during your stay, lots of fluffy white towels and Ginger Lily Farms botanicals soaps and shampoos.

In the Mind/Body room next to the powder room you will find a microwave and ice maker for guest use along with a water filling station. 

Also , the Mind/Body room has a peloton and weights if you need a quick workout. You will also find lots of art supplies for your creative side.
